recently, i took a little trip out east to one helluva town. traveling with my mom, my best friend and her mom, we had the most cliche girls trip you can imagine. from spending a solid two days shopping, fan-girling over 5th avenue, and trying every starbucks near our hotel we deeply enjoyed our time in NYC. naturally, as four theater nerds, we had to go see a few shows. i could have watched anything, but we decided on Chicago, and the new musical Anastasia. Both of these shows were absolutely amazing and left me singing the soundtrack on the walk back, in the shower, on the subway, you name it. we attempted to get tickets to see the glorious Dear Evan Hansen, but unfortunately someday I need to go to college. but, if anyone has an extra 4k laying around lmk. lets talk about how amazing ny cheesecake is, and leave out the part about the calories. oml, this stuff is a delicacy. i'm talking red velvet, carrot cake, and (my personal favorite) devil's food cheesecake. mmm mmm mmm, defiantly worth the hype. times square is all magical and stuff don't get me wrong but my favorite part in NYC is by the bay, were its a tad more quiet and a lot less busy. we took a little cruise on the water and my oh my the sights were breath taking. after crying about how pretty the skyline is for an hour we headed to the cutest little coffee shop for some warm drinks. the owners of this haven were the sweetest, funniest people i met in ny. their hospitality was so real, good work guys way too prove not all new yorkers are mean. that's a wrap for nyc, see ya next time big apple.
