what good is a blog if you don't know anything about the author? let's get to know each other! hi my name is emily paige, i'm 17 years old, a libra, and i love dogs. here are a few other questions i've been asked to help you get an idea of who i am as a human. "WHAT IS YOUR FAVE GO-TO SNACK?"
right now i've really been loving the blueberry brookside berries! mmm mmm mmm, so good. they feel like a healthier snack compared to candy (shh, no one tell me they're pretty much all sugar). "WHAT IS THE BEST PLACE YOU'VE EVER VISTED?" the grimy, dubious, and malodorous city of paris is by far the best place i've ever been. despite all its downfalls (recall the story in my europe post of the restaurant robbery), paris has rich culture, stunning aritechure, and heavenly eats that make it hard to speak badly upon this city. "WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR CLOTHES?" my favorite places to shop totally depend on what i'm looking for that day. however, my go to for absolutely everything is tj maxx. it has changed my life for the better. well, i would probably have more money in my pocket without it, but thats beside the point. for sport clothing i tend to rely on lululemon way more than i should. it is incredibly overpriced but the quality and reliability overturns that for me. american eagle hands down has the best jeans in the world, while i'm convinced that nordstrom rack, dillard's, and lulu's are the best places to find dresses.

when handed the aux, i have impeccable music selections. not to toot my own horn or anything but my music always fits the vibe. that being said, recently i've been into creating playlists for each of my various moods. that way no matter what your feeling, i have a playlist thats got you covered. with the school year wrapping up and finals approaching at full speed here are a few playlists to push you through until summer.
today, mother's day, is as good a day as any to step back and realize how grateful you are to have your mom, grandmother, mum, nana, madre, president of your fan club, momager, or any other woman who is a major influence in your life. to commemorate the holiday and showcase how blessed i am to have my mom in my life, here are 17 things i've learned from my mom in my 17 years of life. 1. god comes first in every aspect of your life.
2. you are not superior to anyone on this planet. 3. as long as you like who you are, nothing else matters. 4. eat the extra slice (pizza, cake, watermelon etc.). 5. never tell your siblings you hate them. 6. smile at the person standing next to you while you wait for coffee. 7. talk to strangers, ask them how their day was but never give your personal info. 8. a paper invite is much more meaningful than a text or facebook event. 9. when looking at those who seem to have it all (fancy cars, trendy clothes) remember that they are no happier than we are. 10. be the bigger person no matter how much it hurts. 11. recycling at home is a good way to start saving our planet. we only get one. 12. you don't need the shoes, but get them anyway. 13. never be afraid to ask for help. 14. nothing worth having in life comes without a dream, hard work, and maybe a few tears (sad or joyful). 15. wear your sunscreen. a burn isn't cute and cancer isn't fun. 16. make the most of any situation. 17. donate. offer up your time, resources, and spirit for the benefit of others. not only does it give you a sense of belonging but it also aids your brothers and sisters in christ. |
